Descanso Creatives is offering a writers' retreat dedicated to the "Art of the Finish." Come gather with us in the Texas Hill Country and learn from three published writers and editors some new ways to move toward completing and publishing your own work.
We will be gathering in a small group at the beautiful Vintage Oaks Farm. Nathan and Ashley Brown and Chick Morgan will lead our retreat. As always with our Descanso Creatives Retreats, we will have some beautiful music threading throughout our days and evenings. As Program Director, Chick Morgan will also handle the programming and administration (You can read more about Nathan, Ashley here, and more about Chick here.)
Topics we'll unpack will include: anatomy of the arc of finishing, organizing your work, a look inside the current publishing world, a publishing and self/publishing how-to, practical exercises to frame your book topic and talk/write about it succinctly, editing basics, and more! And, as with all our Descanso adventures, there will be ample opportunity for time together as a group, and individual writing and reflection.
Pricing includes all retreat programming; 4 light breakfasts; coffee, water and tea breaks; 5 lunches; and 3 dinners including wine. One dinner will be on your own in the charming village of Wimberley.
Lodging and transportation are not included. You will receive a list of local B&B's, hotels, and Inns for a selection of pricing.
